2012 – 2013 Calendar of Events 
 

Holiday Get-Together  – Saturday, 1 December 2012, home of Lorrie and Rob Barron, Boynton Beach, FL.   Our holiday party will feature a  Chinese Auction  with neat Airedale memorabilia to be raffled off.  Start saving up your “stuff” to bring.  In the past we have made from $200-$400 at these events, so we hope you will have some items to donate that will help us make some money for our rescue fund.     As always, we will have a jar for Pennies for Paws. 

CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Preparation – Saturday, 12 January 2013, Ruth Gimpel’s home and stables, in Lutz (just north of Tampa).    The judging parameters can be found online at AKC CGC Testing.  Jesus Gonzalez,  a world renowned trainer, will be available to assist with the CGC requirements, and will also provide a hands-on session for members who want to discuss specific behavioral concerns.  At this meeting we will ask for a minimum $10 donation to help defray our rescue expenses.  Ruth has generously offered to   cater this party and we will provide water and soft drinks. 

Grooming Seminar – Saturday, 16 February, 2013, at Ed Cassano’s home, Clermont.  Join our   expert groomers to get your pet ready for spring.  Another brown bagger and we will provide water and soft drinks.  More details to follow. 

CGC Testing – Saturday, 16 March, Pat and Rich Yacso’s property in Parrish.  Once   Nancy Dunleavy has agreed to be our judge for the certification.  Upon completion of the requirements for certification, you will receive a tag engraved with your name and your pets name as well as a certificate from AKC.  We will have a “green” day in honor of St. Patrick’s as well as a chance for anyone to demonstrate what you are doing to assist with greening of the environment.  Brown bag your own lunch.  Water and soft drinks will be provided. 

Directions and reminder emails for each function will be sent out 10 days   before the event.  Looking forward to seeing all our old friends as well as our new rescues and their families. 

NOTE:  If you are able to host an event in your backyard, we are always looking for new locations.  We will be there to help set up, and clean up.  Please let me know if you are available to throw open your backyard gate  to a pack of frisky, playful Aires and their owners!!!
